- Profoto AcuteB and Pro-B LiFe batteries are safe: Instead of using standard Lithium Ion, Profoto uses Lithium Iron Ion Phosphate (LiFePO4) cells – they are safe in use, no risk for “thermal runaway”.
- LiFe batteries have a much higher energy density than any lead acid battery and many standard Lithium cells: LiFe – 220Wh/L, Pb – 60 Wh/L. Profoto LiFe batteries offer a lower weight and a higher capacity.
- Extremely safe/stable chemistry: High intrinsic safety, no explosion and will not catch fire under collision, over charged or short circuit. High thermal stability of phases up to 500°C.
